Replace your worn out points style vacuum advance distributor with this high quality electronic ignition SVDA unit. Featuring electronic ignition which takes the place of points. This eliminates point adjustment and allows for a smoother running engine. This unit uses an aftermarket VW SVDA distributor housing, which means that the factory cap and rotor is retained for easy servicing.

This unit is a Single Vacuum Dual Advance distributor which works well with most single carbs.

Application

Carbureted VW Type 1, Type 3 and Type 4 engines

Application Notes

Requires a coil with greater than 3.0 ohms of resistance. A coil with less resistance will cause the internal electronics to overheat and fail. Compatible coils include: Bosch Blue coil, Beru Blue, Pertronix 3.0 ohm Flame Thrower.
